Langley is a secret little gem for amazing playgrounds. Seriously. We have visited many many playgrounds in many cities across Canada, and several of our all-time favourite playgrounds are located in Langley. Below are five of what we consider to be the BEST playgrounds in Langley, BC. And quite possibly some of the best playgrounds in Canada!

Dinosaur Playground at City Park
The dinosaur playground at City Park is one of the most popular playgrounds in Langley. If you have a little dinosaur lover in your house, you need to check out this dinosaur themed playground in Langley!

The dinosaur playground features:
🦖 A giant T-Rex head on top of the climbing structure
🦕 A dino ‘spine’ makes up one of the climbing walls
🦖 Giant Dino eggs to climb in
🦕 Lots of climbing/bouldering walls
🦖 Unique features like a giant spinner, face-to-face swing, & wooden climbing area
🦕 A fun little creek, wooded area & paths just behind the park
🦖 A splash pad & outdoor pool in summer!

Willoughby Park
Willoughby Park has one of Langley’s best playgrounds for toddlers and big kids alike. The playground is fenced & has so many amazing features for all ages.

Here are some of our favourite features of Willoughby Park playground:
☀️The playground surface is made of soft, squishy turf
☀️The playground is fenced almost all the way around. There is one small opening facing away from the parking lot
☀️There is a set of stairs to get up to the tall swirly slide so even really little ones can get up independently
☀️The swirly slide is super tall but not super fast so it’s both exciting & safe for toddlers
☀️There is a smaller toddler structure with two shorter slides
☀️A climbing web, rock wall & other fun climbing features for the bigger kids
☀️Public bathrooms
☀️Splash park for the hot summer months

Brydon Park
Brydon Park is an amazing little neighbourhood playground with one super unique feature: the rollercoaster swing! Of all the playgrounds we’ve visited in Canada, we’ve never seen this feature anywhere else. Check out the video below to see it in action!

☀️ The super engaging toddler structure with mini car track, spout for dropping wood chips, mini slide, etc (this structure kept my 2yo entertained for an hour)

Penzer Action Park
Penzer Action Park is a unique playground area with a parkour theme. There are tons of unique features that are suitable for toddlers, parkour beginners and those looking for more of a challenge.

Here are some of the great features of this unique park:
☀️ Mini trampoline built into the ground
☀️ Soft rubber surfacing in the ‘big kid’ zone and wood chips in the toddler zone
☀️ Climbing walls, balance beams, bars to swing on & obstacles to jump off in the main parkour park
☀️ Toddler area with wooden balance beams and mini rope climbers
☀️ Dirt pump track beside the parkour park
☀️ Enclosed basketball court beside the park

Beach Playground at Aldergrove Credit Union Community Centre
This beach themed playground in Aldergrove is definitely one of the best playgrounds in the Langley area. The enormous climbing towers make this park particularly exciting for bigger kids. There is not a ton for toddlers to do here, but it is fenced which makes it a great place to let them run while older siblings play.

What we love about this park:

☀️ Several tall/challenging climbing routes
☀️ Soft, squishy floor surface
☀️ Unique net bridge at the top of the structure
☀️ Small toddler slide
☀️ Cute surf board shaped benches
